Making all sorts of things from cotton, hemp and linen. Yarns are fair trade, recycled, organic or comes from countries where cotton farming is a sustainable source of agriculture. Kate Sloan
Vegan fibres such as cotton, hemp, linen and bamboo are Kate’s fibres of choice. Some fibres are coupled with recycled bottles. Kate will have baby clothes, washcloths, reusable face cloths, baskets, scarves, hats and more for sale. She dyes some of the yarns and finds colour fasting for natural dyeing of cotton a challenge worth persisting with. Kate is fussy about her fibers. They must be fair trade or recycled or organic or come from countries where cotton farming is a sustainable source of agriculture or sustainable Australian wool that comes from cruelty-free farms and rescue sheep. Kate also expresses herself through mosaics in which she upcycles crockery into new pieces.
